May my opinions gather wind under their wings and fly, perchance to soar.

Education opinion for BCoF [13+]
I learned long ago that I will learn what I want to learn when I'm ready; or what I'm forced to learn whether I'm ready or not. I find exterior discipline annoying but useful.

I learn incredible stuff on-line but one-on-one in a classroom setting is best. Mentoring, maybe hands-on multi-sensual apprenticeship works best... for me. There are many learning styles. In spite of reading books and articles, most of what I learn by traveling is experential.

Will buildings and institutions suffer and shutter? Yes. Will they go away? No.

1. Those institutions are about more than book-learning. 2. Some students need the structure and always will.

What's good/bad? There are people thriving today that if they were born 200 years ago would be starving. And vice versa.

Social Aspects:

Education opportunities and self improvement opportunities are available in so many different platforms (YouTube, podcasts, Instagram, Online independent or Great Courses or Coursera) than they were twenty or even ten years ago. Do you feel that this is a good thing or bad thing? Will this eventually lead to the end of the brick and mortar buildings (colleges and technical schools) that used to be the primary source for advancement? Have you tried some of the alternative education opportunities available?
