There is a lot within me Other Than Scriptwriting. This blog is devoted to those stories.

I really needed to get a few paragraphs written for the third Outline for the October Prep Challenge I’m participating in this year. I’m not writing about a chapter or two aka five to ten paragraphs. Of course, I would have liked to have gotten that many written. I would have settled for one or two, three at the most. Unfortunately, I didn’t even get that many written.

Why did I get any writing done today on this challenge? Why this was the first chance that I had gotten to get on my laptop today. I took it out earlier. And I opened it. But before I could even bring up this Outline, my brother and I had things that we needed to do. Unfortunately, it took us most of the day to do them. as a result, I haven’t gotten anything written until I started doing this blog entry.

What did that mean for this Outline? It means that I still need to write one hundred and fifty-five paragraphs to finish this Outline. And I only have seven days to do it before this Outline is due. I know that I have a few extra days to finish it. But I don’t want to wait that long. And take the chance of not finishing this challenge on time.

I’m very aware that I may not be getting this Outline done before the due date. Especially, since I still have one other Short Story to write for this challenge. If it comes down to finishing this Outline or not writing this fourth Short Story, I don’t know what I will do. Hopefully, I won’t need to make that decision. But if I do, I will make it. Just not sure which way I will go.

I think that I can do both. It all depends on how many paragraphs I can get written in the next four days at work. Especially, the next couple of days since I only have about six hours to do them. The weekend isn’t too much better, though. I only have about eleven hours of writing time on the weekend.

That means I have about thirty-seven hours to write thirty-one chapters. That’s almost one paragraph per hour or twelve minutes per paragraph. It reads like it should be able to do that. And I hope that it is. But I’m not going to count on it until it happens. I have been in a similar situation before and for one reason or another, it didn’t go my way.

All I can do right now is try to get as many paragraphs as I can write over the next four days at work. And any home away from work that I can work on this Outline. It can be finished by the end of my shift this week. But like I wrote above, I’m just not going to count on it until I do it. I think that I can still do it. Maybe not by the end of this weekend. But by the time this Outline is due.
