Seven More Than Yesterday
Seven More Than Yesterday

Unfortunately, the above blog title is true. I only wrote six single-paragraph chapters earlier today at work. That’s only thirty single paragraphs for the third Outline for the October Prep Challenge that I’m participating in this year. That is only seven more than I did on Friday morning. And it was just within six hours.

What does that mean? It means several things. One thing it means is that I wrote those seven single paragraphs in about five hours. That’s not very good at all. If I do only that many today, it means that I need to do nine more to finish this Outline before the due date of the twenty-seventh. That will only give me four days to complete it. Nine in four days shouldn’t be that big of a problem. But after what had been happening lately it might be.

Three of those days are my days off from work. So, logically, I shouldn’t have any problems doing at least three of them a day aka fifteen single paragraphs. Unfortunately, I often have a very big problem getting any writing done on my days off. Except for these blog entries. And I only do them sometimes because I don’t want to miss another blogging day. If I do get the chance to do any writing, it’s usually not too much. Maybe a chapter, that’s five single paragraphs, if I’m lucky,

On the fourth day, the day that this Outline is due, I will be at work in the early morning. So, I should be able to get this Outline completed by then. Especially, if I only have a chapter or two to finish it. I don’t really want to do that, though. Because I don’t like waiting until the last second to finish something. Unfortunately, I have had to do that a whole lot. And I hate it. Hopefully, I won’t need to do that this time. But the way things have been going lately, I wouldn’t be surprised if it did.

I still have my fourth Short Story to write for this challenge. Normally, I would be doing that on my days off. But I might not be able to do that for this one. That is what I was planning on doing on the twenty-seventh at work. If not sooner than that. But if I’m not finished with this Outline by then, I won’t be able to do that. That also means that I only have a couple of days left to finish that fourth Short Story.

Don’t want to give up on writing this fourth Short Story. But I may need to do it. This third Outline comes first. If I do need to work on it until Thursday, I may not have the time to finish writing this Short Story. Even with two days left to write it, I still should be able to do it. But I’m not going to count on anything until it happens. I did that with this Outline for this weekend. I’m not going to do that again with this Short Story.

It all depends on how much writing I’m able to write tomorrow morning. If it is only about six chapters again, then I might not get it done by Thursday after all. But if I do get more than six, I still might be able to do it. There is one other possibility. Tomorrow after I get home from work, I usually try to get a few hours of sleep. If I don’t do that, I may be able to get a few more chapters done then.
