An Archive of poems I have written

A long summer ends
A long Summer comes to an end
Leaves carpet the forest paths
Life is still exuberant enough
For the trees to be full of leaves
I look up at the green
and down to red, brown, and gold
Leaves dominate the sky and land

Only a moment on the way to Winter
From Summer memories we want to come again
Each year is different
Trees grow taller or are cut down
The flowers bloom loudest just before they die.
