Alone
Alone in a sea of nothingness,
I scribble words on a virtual wall.
My thoughts, my fears, my life,
I purge them all.
I sit naked, without defences,
alone.

He pours his heart out on a page,
dark ink staining tattered paper.
Void of hope, afraid to dream,
the wind whisks papers into chaos
and bears tragedy away,
leaving him alone.

She cries and screams and mumbles,
words poetical and sweet,
words dramatic, dirty, deep.
She whispers and they fade,
no echo, no answer,
she's alone.

He gathers a chorus of lost voices,
a collection of lost souls,
to form his inspiration.
He creates a symphony of anguish,
a poem that's never still,
and he, alone, smiles.
