My First Official All-Nighter

It finally happened. I had my first all-nighter last night and earlier today. Didn’t want to do it, but I had no choice but to do it. After all, I had less than twenty-four hours to finish my second Short Story for this month. Under normal circumstances, that wouldn’t be a problem. Because I could always finish it at work. That didn’t work for two reasons.

One reason is that I can’t take my laptop to work with me anymore. Doesn’t that sound familiar? It sure does look like it to me. After all, it happened to me in Missouri about eight, nine, or ten months ago. I was treated differently than everyone else. It looks like it’s happening again too and like in Missouri there is nothing that I can do about it.

The only thing that I can do is suffer through it. Well, that isn’t exactly true. What I could do is fight back. Not physically, but mentally. I could challenge their authorities, but that could be fired. True, that may not be a problem, but I don’t want to take a chance. Whether I like it or not, I need this job for at least the next couple of years.

My second reason why is I did an all-nighter last night. My first official one. I have talked, written, and thought that I would be doing them, but one way or another I didn’t. too bad I can’t write that now. Sooner or later I knew that this was going to happen. Just hoping that it would be later. A whole lot later. Like ten years after I’m dead later.

I have come close to doing an all-nighter many times, but they weren’t true all-nighters because I didn’t stay up all night working or finishing whatever I was doing. Unfortunately, I can’t do that anymore because I finally had one, and the worst part is why I had to do one in the first place. It was because of my second Short Story for this month.

How has all of this affected my Water Wars scriptwriting project? It’s true, I have had a lot of trouble staying awake today, but I did get some writing done on this project today. It wasn’t too much writing, but it was some. Of course, I could have gotten more if I had gotten some sleep today. even if it would have been only a few hours, it would have been better than none.

Why didn’t I get some sleep today? What is the usual reason why I didn’t get any sleep? It’s just like it is with my writing. The reason why I didn’t get any sleep done today is because of what my brother and I needed to get done today. There wasn’t too much that we needed to do today, but what we needed to do took most of the day to do it. As a result, no sleep today.
