About a Hundred Per Section

So far, I haven’t gotten anything written on my Water Wars scriptwriting project, and I don’t think I’m going to be able to do that before I go to sleep tonight. That’s because it hasn’t been a typical first day off from work aka a Monday. It’s worse than that. It has been an extremely bad one.

From when I got up very early this morning until after it turned dark, my brother and I had one thing after another that needed to be done today. As a result, I didn’t get any writing done on this project. I did get some writing done today, sort of. What do I mean by that?

What I mean is that I didn’t get any writing done today, but I did get some transcribing done. My second Short Story for this month that I wrote at work needed to be transcribed from handwriting to my laptop. With what little time I have had today, I spent transcribing this Short Story.

Unfortunately, I’m only halfway through transcribing it. Under normal circumstances, that wouldn’t be so bad, but when I’m almost five hundred words over my limit for this half of this Short Story, it is bad. Hopefully, the second half won’t be as bad or worse. It probably will be, though.

I’m going to be needing to do a whole lot of major re-writing to get this first half under a thousand words, and I don’t know if I can do that. Maybe I could do it with fifty words or possibly even a hundred words, but almost five hundred words read like it will be impossible to do.

That means I’m going to have to eliminate about a hundred words per section. It also means a whole lot of re-writing. I think that I can do it, but the big question is how long it will take to do it. I’ve only got about twenty-four hours to do it. It doesn’t mean I won’t try to do it.
