Barely Got It Started
Barely Got It started

It has not been a typical Wednesday for me. Usually, on Wednesdays, my day isn’t too bad. That’s because I’m going to be going back to work tonight at midnight. So, that’s why it’s normally not too busy of a day for me. Unfortunately, it wasn’t that way today. I didn’t have a lot to do except get ready for work tonight, but I did have some things to do.

As a result, I didn’t get too much written for my WDC Short Story this month. I didn’t get anything written today. At least not physically, but I am ready to start writing it though. All I have written is the single sentence parts of this Short Story. What do I mean by that? It means that I break down most of my short stories into parts or sections, and I get them a single sentence as to what that section or part will be about.

That’s just the way that I write my short stories. I have done a few without parts or sections, but I haven’t done too many of them. Also, I know that most Reviewers of my short stories don’t like that I do it this way. Maybe that’s why I never win any of these contests. Whatever the reason, that’s just the way I prefer to write my short stories.

I have already comprised some. Like writing in Past Tense instead of Present Tense. Especially, when it comes to my Science Faction, I mean Science Fiction short stories. I prefer to write in Present Tense. It’s probably the scriptwriter in me. Only I can’t do that with my short stories. Another thing I have had to comprise on is ‘Buts’ and ‘Ands” starting a sentence. After all, I have seen and read other writers who have done it.

Here I go rambling again. This blog entry is supposed to be about me not being able to get too much writing done on the WDC Short story for this month, and I’m writing about how I write them. I know I shouldn’t be doing that. Should be writing about my WDC Short Story for this month, and why I haven’t gotten more written on it this week.

As for my second Short Story for this month, I’m still waiting for it. I checked WDC just before I started this blog entry, and as of then, there still wasn’t any Short Story contest this month. This isn’t the first time this has happened, and I’m sure it won’t be the last time I’m sure. Hopefully, the host for this contest will give us another extension to finish it. After all, they have done it recently before.

I’m returning to work at midnight tonight. As I mentioned above in this blog entry. That means I’m going to be returning to my Water Wars scriptwriting project. It also means that I’m not going to be working on this Short Story until my next days off from work. Of course, I could work on it after I get home from work, but I probably won’t feel like doing that.
