A collection of my autobiographical poems

One Day
I while away time,
daydreaming,
of warm hugs and old stone walls,
newborn smiles or
shaky arthritic hands
with matching voices.
I dream of sights so strange
I can't imagine them yet.
Vistas, pure and ageless,
or crammed with concrete
and glass and tiny fragments of people
far
    far
        below...
The wind rushing past us,
gleeful grins,
cosy cuddles in front of open fires,
warming whisky,
and sweet sentimental kisses.
One day I shall enjoy them all.
