The Next Three Days, I Hope

Now it’s only two days left this week to finish writing my WDC Short Story for this month. Unfortunately, today has been a very typical first day off from work aka a Monday. From very early this morning until almost the evening hours my brother and I had things we needed to do.

What does that mean for my WDC Short Story for this month? It means that I only had time today to write the second section of this Short Story. That also means I still have eight more parts before I finish writing this Short Story. That’s four sections per day. It’s not an impossible task, but it is kind of hopeless.

Can I get all enough parts written in the next two days? It’s not impossible, but it is very unlikely. Especially, after the way, I have written lately. At least it has been for my Short Story writing. I can’t say the same thing about my scriptwriting, but I’m not going to write about that today.

That’s because I have done very, very, very well with my Water Wars scriptwriting project. if I can write like that over the next two days now, I may get my WDC Short Story written. I’m just not sure that I can do that. I think that I can, but that’s about sixteen hundred words in two days.

I have written less than a thousand words in one day when I was writing for The Writer’s Cramp Contest, but that was back in the Stone Age. I’m not even close to writing that many words in one day anymore. I haven’t been able to do that for quite some time now. It can still be done, but maybe not by me.

It can be done, though. I’m just not sure if I can do it. That equals four sections per day aka about eight hundred words. It can be done, I’m just not the one who does it. I think that I can, but I won’t know for sure until tomorrow and Wednesday. If I can’t do it, I have a very big decision I need to make.

If I can’t get this Short Story written in the next couple of days, it means I will either need to finish it at work or work on the second Short Story for this month from work. After all, if I do the second one at work, I will be doing it from scratch. I can’t say the same about my WDC Short Story.

Handwriting short stories at work are easier to do from scratch instead of in the middle or more of them. With stories I have already written a part of means I will be needing to go onto my cell phone to see where I have been before it can be written on my laptop. That’s very hard to do at work.

It will be a lot easier to do it from scratch than from partially scratch. The best-case scenario is I won’t need to work on this WDC Short Story at work. If that does happen, then only my second Short Story for this month will need to be finished at work this week. That’s what I’m hoping will happen.
