There is a lot within me Other Than Scriptwriting. This blog is devoted to those stories.

Last Day Off from Work

Usually, my Wednesdays are laid back and relaxing. After all, I go back to work tonight at midnight/Thursday morning. Today wasn’t one of those days. From early this morning until the middle of the afternoon my brother and I were busy doing things that needed to be done. As a result, I didn’t write too much on my WDC Short Story for this month.

I only got one more section/part written for it. That means I have nine more to go before I finish writing this Short Story. Unfortunately, that’s probably all I’m going to be working on until next Monday when my next days off from work will begin. True, I may work on it after I get home from work, but it probably won’t happen.

After all, when I go to work, I will be returning to my Water Wars scriptwriting project. True, I have written some of my short stories at work or all of them, but I’m not ready to do that quite yet. If I need to do that it will probably happen next week. After all, this month is almost over. By next Monday, it will be half over. Don’t know if I will need to do that or not.

It looks like I may have a second Short Story to do after all this month. When I went into WDC to see if I could use the starting word of this blog entry, I noticed that the second contest I have been entering posted a new prompt. At least I think that it is. Didn’t get the chance to check it out yet because I had to return to this blog entry.

After I finish writing and posting this blog entry, I will check it out. It could be a new prompt, or it could be an announcement that the host isn’t going to have a contest this month. They have done that before, but I don’t think that’s what is happening this time. That’s because he hinted at what the prompt was going to be about aka ‘April Showers.’

So, unless he changed his mind for one reason or another after he posted that hint, I presume it’s going to be a prompt. The big question is will we have until the end of this month to finish writing it? They have given us an extra week in the past when it was this late. Then again, they may not do it. I think the same scenario happened and they didn’t give it to us.

It could go either way all the way around. There could be a prompt and an extra week, or it could be just the prompt. The same is true about them not having a contest this month. I will know soon what it is in less than an hour and a half. Not that I will be able to do anything about it today, but I will know if there is a contest and prompt this month or not.
