These are only a few of the awards that Alice Munro has achieved through her writing.
This is a series of short stories about "everyday" people. I found most of the stories tinged with some sort of sadness. She is almost sharp in her characters' points of view; but not quite harsh. No two stories are the same, but the stories have this in common: a choice made or unmade, a chance encounter, a road taken (or not). Each of the stories in this book are short, but deliver a punch.
I give the book a 4 1/2 rating. It's not quite my "cup of tea" but Alice Munro has won several awards, so she is definitely someone's "cup of tea".
