There is a lot within me Other Than Scriptwriting. This blog is devoted to those stories.

A Slow Start
A Slow Start

It has been a very typical first day off from work aka a Monday. My brother and I didn’t have a whole lot that needed to get done today, but what we did need to do took us most of the day to do it. As a result, I haven’t had too much time to work on my second Short Story for this month.

Don’t get me wrong. I have gotten a little bit of it written, but it has only been the first section/part of it. That still leaves me nine more parts/sections to go, and only two days to do them. It doesn’t look too well that I will get this one done before I go to work this Thursday morning.

Of course, I said that last week during my days off, and I finished writing my WDC Short Story for this month. So, there’s no reason why I can’t do it again. Unfortunately, this has happened before, and those times I wasn’t so lucky in getting them done before I went back to work.

This could be another one of those times. I hope that it’s not, but right now it looks like it may be. Then again, it may not be so bad. At least not yet. I still have before I go to sleep tonight to get one or two more sections/parts written, and tomorrow to get a few more parts/sections written.

If I can get another three to six parts written either tonight or tomorrow, then I may have a chance to finish it before I go back to work. I’m not going to count on that until it happens, though. I have thought that before only to have one thing or another stop me from getting my writing done.

I know that my brother and I have a few things to do tomorrow and Wednesday, but they are supposed to be happening in the morning. If that’s true, then I may be able to get at least six sections/parts total before Wednesday. That includes what I can get done before I go to sleep tonight.

What is the worse that can happen? I don’t get this Short Story finished before I go back to work on Thursday morning. If that happens, then I will need to finish it at work. True, I don’t want to do that, but it that is what I need to do to get this Short Story finished this month, then I will do it.

There are several reasons why I don’t want to finish it at work. One of those reasons is that I have to handwrite them. if I do that, I have two ways to keep track of my Word Count. I can do them with individual paragraphs and re-write them as I go along, or I can do it when I transcribe them to my laptop.

The main reason why I don’t want to finish my short stories at work is because my work writing is supposed to be for my scriptwriting. I can’t do my scriptwriting if I’m working on a Short Story or stories. They can be written this way, and I will if I need to do it, but I don’t like doing it.
