Inside the pages of this book...
Devils and demons
dance, swoop, and dive,
to a low crooning melody
that teases my ear.

Swirls of anger
and swishes of fear,
they waltz and collide
and fall from the skies.

The throb of barely restrained violence
beats a dark rhythm,
and lurks,
looking for a lapse
in concentration.

The book slams shut,
paper pages quivering
as they contain the maelstrom
of nightmares and nasties.

For now...
