Heated Confrontations
Groundless accusations fly
with military precision,
piercing through the armour
that shelters tender hearts.
Shattered dreams and
broken promises
litter the floor...
to be swept under the rug
with the empty threats,
and hidden from prying eyes.
Wounded egos feed
from hurt feelings
and frayed tempers.
And I lie
bleeding through it all.
