The 17th of May
Is a lovely day!
In Norway we all celebrate
We eat ice cream, we eat cake
The people wear their finest clothes
The children sing of peace and hope
In streets the crowds will march along
For peace and joy we sing our song!
Our history we celebrate
And look towards a future date
When all are safe and all are free
In democratic unity.
