Just Like Last Sunday, I Think
Just Like Last Sunday, I Think

I’m not sure how many Establishing Shots I did last Sunday, but I think it was two. It could have been four Establishing Shots, but I doubt it was more than that. It could have been, but I don’t think it was. I think it was just the two Establishing Shots that started Act One for the second Episode of the new Water Wars scriptwriting project that I’m writing on.

Don’t ask me how I got forty-seven single paragraphs written earlier today. I’m kind of surprised that I did do that many. At first, I didn’t think I would get more than about thirty. It was a very slow start when it comes to my writing earlier today. after all, it was almost an hour into my shift before I had the chance to do any writing. As a result, I only had about four and a half years before started doing any writing.

It may have been almost an hour’s delay before I got started writing this Act One Scene Outline for my second episode of this television series, but it didn’t look like it affected my writing too much. If it slowed it down at all. I don’t think it did slow me down. At least no more than watching the cameras in there that I did every hour of my shift.

So, how did I get so many single paragraphs done earlier today at work? That question I can’t answer. It may be one of those questions that I may never to an answer to. All that I do know is that once I started writing, I couldn’t stop myself. The only thing that did stop me was work, and that wasn’t too bad. I still had a lot of time to get as many of these single paragraphs written. Time well spent if you ask me.

Still don’t know what my second Short Story will be for the second contest that I enter almost every month. The prompt for it hasn’t come out yet. Unless it came out within the last couple of hours. There is only one contest this month so far. I’m sure there will be at least one more, but there could be two like last month. I doubt that, though. It will probably be a few more months before that happens again. At least for those contests.

Why am I writing about short stories in a blog about scriptwriting? Especially, when this blog is only supposed to be about my scriptwriting projects. It’s because, for the next three days aka my days off from work, I won’t be working on my scriptwriting. I won’t need to make any kind of decision about what I’m going to be doing with my scriptwriting.

In a way, writing about my short stories may be related to my scriptwriting projects too. Not these current scriptwriting projects, but future ones. My next scriptwriting projects are going to be Horror/Scary, and to kick them off I’m thinking about doing some short stories based on them. I might even do a novel or a novel series based on them.

That isn’t going to happen until next year at the earliest. I’m not giving up on my Water Wars scriptwriting project, or my second scriptwriting project, The Final Ritual. I’m just planning ahead a little bit. Especially, when it comes to any related short stories or novels.
