Better Than Last Thursday
Better Than Last Thursday

If I remember correctly, I did twenty-two single paragraphs last Thursday at work. I remember it because it happens quite a bit on Thursdays for some reason. Earlier today, it was slightly different. I only got two more single paragraphs for the third episode, Floating Weapons, of my Water Wars scriptwriting project.

I can’t remember if last Thursday included two Establishing Shots or not, but it probably did. Depending on where I left off the Sunday before, there is a good chance that there were at least two Establishing Shots last Thursday. It probably was on two, but it could have been four. If it was a weekend that most likely is true, but it’s probably not for a weekday.

Whether there were two or more Establishing Shots last Thursday, there were two earlier today. Ten single paragraphs ended the Teaser Act, and twelve started Act One. Which included two Establishing Shots that began Act One for a total of twenty-four single paragraphs written earlier today at work.

Two more may not read like a lot, but considering it was a weekday it’s not too bad. Especially since the total ended up being twenty-four. Twenty-four is very good for a weekday. At least I think that it is. It could have been a little bit better than that, but it could have been a whole lot worse. That’s the way it normally is on Thursdays.

It wasn’t just the number of single paragraphs, though. I also wasn’t feeling very well. Don’t know why. Because I got plenty of sleep the night before. So, why did I feel so weak and tired? I don’t know the answer to that one, but it’s not the first time that has happened on a Thursday.

The last several weeks have been like that on a Thursday. I think it’s because I have been getting up very early Wednesday mornings lately, and even though I have gotten plenty of sleep that night, I was still weak and tired when I started work. As a result, it has slowed me down at work. Not enough, though. After all, I’m still getting twenty to twenty-five single paragraphs written.

I only need twenty-three more single paragraphs to finish Act One of this episode. If I can repeat today’s single paragraph count, I will get that no matter how bad it gets at work. It can be done. I have done it before on a Friday. there’s no reason why I can do it again. I may even get one or two more than that.
On Fridays, I often get a few more single paragraphs written than I do on Thursdays. I hope tomorrow will be one of those days. It could be. Then again, it might not be. There have been a few times it has been less than Thursday, but that hasn’t happened too often. Most likely, I will get at least twenty-three single paragraphs written to end Act One.
