Old love wakes

Deep calls to deep
into the dark, way down
Stirring the waters of emotion
Until the currents rip my world apart
Surging to the surface
With long-forgotten passions
I love, hate, cry, and laugh
As walls break down and
Frozen cities melt
Into color and noise
We loved, and I had forgotten that
I love you still
As you call to me now
Green eyes filled with tears
Heart pumping, voice breaking
Reawakening the songs inside of us
We sang together once upon a time
