Sanibel LightHouse

She lost a leg
to Hurricane Ian
but her iron skeleton tower
held strong.
I'd like to climb
her central spiral staircase
ascending the metal kundalini
rising to the light
of her brilliant third eye.
She guides people home
away from the shallows
her invitation
to live in the depths.
