Not Too Well For a Sunday
Not Too Well For a Sunday

It wasn’t too bad of a day when it comes to my Water Wars scriptwriting project. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a good day either. I only did sixty-three single paragraphs and nineteen scenes earlier today at work. That’s not bad, but it’s also not very good either.

Why didn’t I get more written earlier today at work? There are several reason why. One of them was a lack of sleep. Another one was a lot of erasing and re-writing. A lack of concentration was also a problem too. Put them all together and you have your reason why I didn’t get more writing done earlier today at work.

I never get too much to sleep on a Saturday for my Sunday morning shift. That’s because I only get about six hours of sleep if I’m lucky. Just before I start getting ready to go to work, I try to get a little bit of a nap. It’s usually only about a half hour to an hour.

Sometimes that will help me with my Sunday morning shift, and sometimes it won’t. Unfortunately, earlier today was one of those won’t days. I didn’t feel like I was ever going to go to sleep. I’ve never done that while working the third shift aka the graveyard shift. It’s hard not to do it sometimes, but I have never done it.

That’s why my writing is so important. It helps to keep me awake. If I didn’t have anything to do, then I probably would give in to sleep. So far, denying my writing hasn’t come up at work, and hopefully, it never will. Just staring a cameras most of the time will put me to sleep.

A lack of concentration is related to a lack of sleep. I have some trouble concentrating at work. As a result, my writing suffers. Sometimes it’s physical and sometimes it’s emotional. Physically, I know what I want to write, but I don’t know how to write it. So, I ended up writing it a million times. If I’m lucky.

I have a lot of trouble concentrating sometimes, but luckily it doesn’t happen too often. Can’t say the same when it comes to a lack of sleep. If I don’t get enough sleep, it can cause me to lose concentration, and that does affect my writing. Sometimes a little, sometimes a lot.

Another problem I had today was erasing and re-writing. That is also related to my lack of sleep and my lack of concentration. I had a lot of erasing and re-writing earlier today at work. As a result, I didn’t get as much writing done as I wanted to get done today. I wanted it to be more like yesterday.

I didn’t expect it to be as good as yesterday, but I was hoping it would be a little bit closer, though. Sixty-three single paragraphs and nineteen scenes were close, but it could have been a little bit closer. Hopefully, it will be next Sunday. More like Saturday than earlier today.
