I pray
when you look in the mirror
you do not see
only your political party.
When I look in the mirror
I see God, and She is
black, white, brown
not and/or, but and/and
queer, hetero, asexual
handicapped, whole
addicted, newly sober
Republican (god forbid), progressive.
When I look in the mirror
I see God
and I am not lonely.
