A Slow Day Because...
A Slow Day Because...

Why was it a slow day when it came to my Water Wars scriptwriting project? It wasn’t because it’s Thanksgiving here in the United States. It’s because I only had about three and a half hours of scriptwriting that I got to do today at work. Once again, it wasn’t because of Thanksgiving. It was because of work.

I had something come up right after I got to work earlier today. It was some e-learning that I had to do. Even though I had until the end of the year to do it, I had to do it now. Supposedly, it was only supposed to take me about an hour to do. Unfortunately, it took me a little over three hours to finish it.

True, part of those three hours was devoted to making my first round and three camera watching. It shouldn’t have taken almost two hours of e-learning to do. But it did. That’s why I only had about three and a half hours to get any writing done today on my Water Wars scriptwriting project. If I even got that much time to do it.

I didn’t even get my writing supplies out to start working on this project until after I finished my e-learning. It’s not as bad as it reads, though. Because I still got a lot of writing done on this project. Just not as much as I would have gotten if I had those two extra hours to work on this Water Wars scriptwriting project.

So, how bad was it at work yesterday because of this e-learning? It’s not as bad as it sounds. I still got seven scenes and twenty-two single paragraphs written earlier today at work. That’s not too bad considering how long I had to write them. What would I have gotten if I had that extra time? It probably would have been eleven scenes and thirty-six single paragraphs.

That means I lost about four scenes and fourteen single paragraphs that I would have gotten written in that missing time. That’s not good. But it’s also not bad either. It just means I still have eight more scenes and twenty-six more single paragraphs to end Act Four of the second episode, Not Hiding in Darkness, of this television series.

I don’t know if I can get that many scenes or paragraphs written tomorrow at work. But considering that I normally get about ten or eleven scenes done per weekday and about thirty to thirty-five single paragraphs I should be able to do it. I should be able to get one to three more scenes written from my Tag Act for this episode done too.

No matter how I look at this, today didn’t hurt me too much. I most likely will probably get this episode finished by Saturday. Might even be able to get started on Episode Three, Floating Weapons, too. Whether I get started on Episode Three or not on Saturday, I should be starting or continuing it on Sunday.
