A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here.

Only a Little Hiccup
Only a Little Hiccup

Was going to title this blog entry ‘Slightly Better Than Yesterday.’ But I may have already used that blog title. It’s hard to remember which blog titles I have used and which ones I haven’t. I know that when I enter the blog title in my ‘add new blog entry’ it will tell me if I have that blog title before.

That helps a lot. But even that isn’t enough. Especially, since I have so many blog entries. I also have more than one blog. The only other way to know about a blog title would be to search for it in my blog listings. That’s time I don’t have. My only other way would be to do a similar search on my Word Documents. But that’s even worse.

I have a Word Document for each blog entry that I have. At least I do for most of them. Every so often, I forget to save the blog entry to its correct folder. When it happens, I lose the day before for the new one. I hate it when that happens. Luckily, it doesn’t happen too often, though.

If I were to do a Word Document search, it would take a long time to do that. Time that I don’t have. Especially, when it comes to writing these blog entries. After all, they are done at the end of each day. That’s why sometimes I do miss a blogging day.

It doesn’t happen too often either. But I have missed a blogging day for one reason or another. It’s usually because I’m having problems with my laptop: it’s running too slow, it has crashed, can’t access the internet, etc. Sometimes it’s me, though. I will create my blog entry on WDC. But for some reason it doesn’t get posted.

I hate it when that happens. Like I wrote above, it doesn’t happen too often, though. When it does for whatever reason, I end up with two blog entries for that day. Sometimes I will explain why it happened in that day’s blog entry. And sometimes I don’t. it can happen either way. A lot of that depends on when I find out about my missed blog day.

Enough of this ranting and raving. It’s time for the bad news. The bad news is I only got fifty-four single paragraphs and sixteen numeric scenes done. Eighteen scene heading because of the three Establishing Shot single paragraphs that I started my Act Two with.

That’s not very good. But it’s not all my fault. Once again, I didn’t get too much writing done in the first couple of hours at work earlier today. It’s only a little hiccup, though. Not like yesterday when I didn’t get any writing done for the first three hours.

Unfortunately, because of that hiccup I only got six single paragraphs and two scenes written during the first two hours of my shift earlier today. I usually do twelve to sixteen single paragraphs during those first two hours with about thirteen or fourteen being the average. Can’t write that today because I only got six.

Fifty-four single paragraphs and eighteen scenes aren’t too bad for a Sunday. But it’s not very good either. Not when I’m used to writing single paragraphs in the early to mid-sixties. Sometimes even more than that. I think my lowest up until yesterday was fifty-two single paragraphs. So, fifty-four is probably my third lowest now.
