This is a Count Down Poem I wrote for The Writer's Cramp a while back.

Treasured Fall

Shadows lengthen on a blanket of leaves
Covering autumn ground's chilly heart
Cruel winter, just around the bend
October smile, trick or treat
Child's eyes sparkle with joy
Warm laughter lifts us
Moment in time
Suspended
Treasured
