Christmas wishes coming true
In these times of trials and tribulations, we can so easily lose track of the good things in our lives. Oh, to be young and pleased by simple things like the number of Christmas celebrations one will have.

Colby, our ten-year-old grandson, climbed up beside me the other day. "Granny, I'm going to have five Christmases this year."

I hugged him as I laughed and asked, "Five? How are you getting five?"

"Well, two at Hydro, two here, and one at school." He held up one finger. "One here with Bob. One at school. One at home on Christmas Day; then one at Grandma and Grandpa's; then we come back here Christmas night. That's five."

Robert grinned and stated that Colby had it all figured out.

How many Christmases are we having this year? Let me see: Becky arrives tomorrow, number one; Bob arrives Wednesday, number two; most of the family will be together December 21 for dinner and visiting, that's three; Christmas Day, everyone that can will be here for dinner than night, that's four. We will have four wonderful celebrations, which is more than many people have. Oh, number five, Robert is here to celebrate with us. Colby isn't the only one with five Christmases.

Let us give thanks, for God is good.
