I believe the cap is on...
I have discovered something that makes me chuckle.

For the most part I leave the caps off the pens at the cashwrap so when people need to write checks or sign a receipt the pen is ready to go. Well, once and a while a cap is accidentally left on a pen once it is handed to the customer. It's amazing how long it takes some people to realize that the cap is actually on the pen.

For example, the other day I handed a gentleman a capped pen. I watched him in facination as he kept hitting one end of the pen on his hand and then on the counter trying to make the writing end magically appear. Then he began twisting the cap left and right trying futily to get the thing to work. I finally put the poor man out of his misery by giving him a different pen.
