Dublin Bells
This poem was written for my campfire, using the word, "restless."

Dublin Bells

Restless early morn
Herd grazes on a steep hill
Careful to hasten

Dublin bells call us
St. Stephens day hurries past
Lost in mindless rush

Through the holidays
Stopping to savor moments
Quiet times of grace

The cattle do low
Like that day in the manger
No crib for his bed

The years rushing past
Songs echo in St. Patrick's
Dublin Cathedral

Mountain to the west
Croagh Patrick, to the summit
Timeless devotion

Another year looms
Hold on to your traditions
Bells will embrace you
