How do you deal with taboo issues in writing? I seem to come up with ideas that are a little off the wall and all I can think of is what if someone I know reads this? What will they think about me? Will they think I am this horrible person? There are authors who write about things like this and are successful. Stephen King for one. He has some pretty weird stuff in his writing and it doesn't seem to be a problem. I worry about my mother reading stuff or my kids and not understanding that it was just an idea that was floating around in my brain. Actually I worry about this stuff so much that I don't get much writing done. That is crazy.
