Cutting Off My Nose to Spite My Face...
I am adjusting to life without television. It is just about as bad as I imagine trying to stop smoking, and drinking coffee could ever be.

I'm a News junkie, and life without television almost feels like NO LIFE at all. I can have phone service with any phone company on the face of this planet; I can have cell phone service with a multitude of providers as well, but for some crazy reason if I want Cable Television service I am FORCED to chose from only one provider. Why?

I feel as though my local parish government has stolen my viewing rights, and sold them to the highest bidder - afterall the parish government leases out viewing areas. Unfair!!!

I am not sure about Satellite services for television viewing. I am miserable, but I am not going to give in and subscribe to a Cable service that has no competition. Isn't that a Government created Monopoly? I NEED A LAWYER to file a class action suit.

I am only one household, and I am sure that the Cable company could care less about having lost my business - but I MUST stick to my decision, because it is right and just.

Oh, I miss Stargate and Battleship Galactica.

I am going to Radio Shack and see if an antenna will help. I doubt it, but I have to try.

If I could only start a National revolt against the ever increasing cost of Cable television viewing.

On my list of places I wouldn't care if terrorists attacked:

1. IRS
2. Cable Television Home Offices
3. Office of Children Services - especially the State Agency Office whose employees (college educated & State trained) once had the nerve to tell me "Our Agency is not designed to help people who ask for help."

Yes, I have done this to myself, and I am suffering because of it. Going NUTS HERE.

The only really good thing about not having Cable service is - I am saving consideable money.

God help us all.
