Absent Friends
It's turned really chilly again this morning and I'm craving some sunshine. I'm a sun worshipper by nature, maybe because I'm a Leo, born in mid summer. I find this heavy cloud and chill wind very depressing.

Everyone seems to be either away on holiday or in the process of booking one. My sister is in Wales. (doubt there's much sun there!) My friend Gillian is in South Africa. My son Paul, set off for Tunisia this morning, I've been a bit weepy since then. I'm sure he'll have a great time and that's always what I want for him, but mothers never stop worrying do they? I'll feel better when I know his plane's landed safely.

My swimming friend, Big Pam is off to Tenerife next week too. I sometimes wonder if we'll ever get a holiday what with one thing and another. There's no way I could go anywhere before my dad's had his operation and is hopefully, fully recovered. Still, the powers that be don't take into account the ripples of frustration their casual cancellations make. If it happens again I'll be ready to murder someone. In the meantime, all I can do is dream of sunshine, sea, sand and ...reading lots of novels. What did you think I was going to put? Really, some people's minds! Actually, if I was going away with a six foot, dark, handsome toy boy, mine might be going in that direction too. Dream on dear!
