NINE ELEVEN

[Tragic sweet memories of that fateful day.]

When I kissed her a good bye
I was getting late to fly.
I gave her rosy flowers.
She left for the twin towers.

She walked fast to reach in time
Her office on the floor nine.
Scarce I knew never again
Were destined to meet we twain.

But as I reached the airport,
I got this vilest report.
In the sky high twin tower,
Where she worked in office her,

There was a loud explosion
Causing fire and confusion
About what all had happened,
Had it been by someone bombed?

At once then I did rush back,
Only to learn, simply, that,
As my wife went down the pit,
She hugged close my rosy gift.
