Silver Bells and...
On this day...
In 1920, Ray Bradbury the American science fiction author was born.
In 1950 Althea Gibson became the first black competitor to take part in a national tennis tournament.
In 1965 Sonny and Cher topped the charts with 'I got you babe.'
In 1968 Cynthia Lennon sued John for divorce on the grounds of adultery.
In 1980 Scarlett said goodbye to her maiden name, her parental home and her freedom.
Yes folks, today is my Silver Wedding anniversary. We don't have big celebrations for anniversaries in my family but I have to ask where the last twenty-five years have gone and admit to feeling a little perplexed, pensive and petrified! Oh well, at least I'm still here to ponder the experience.
