Row row row your boat, gently down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream.

I have no idea who wrote those words or if there is any more to the song but despite their simplicity, I think they're quite profound.

Sometimes I wonder if life is just a dream. Sometimes, it all passes by in a flurry, leaving fuzzy images and surreal memories.

Saturday night I was sitting out in my garden with friends enjoying a party...blink blink...they're gone and I'm nursing a hangover and doing a jigsaw with mother.

Today I've been on an outing with my sister. We've been swimming, for lunch and looked round the shops...blink blink...and I'm back, throwing things into a suitcase ready for Wednesday.

No doubt it will all get completed tomorrow and by Wednesday we'll be sitting in the sun in Cyprus. But you can bet...blink blink...and we'll be on the way back.

Funny old life isn't it? Sometimes I really wish we could have pause, rewind, fast forward and stop buttons.
