LIFE IS SHORT


[Life is short. Strive towards the goal, without wasting time.]



Life is short, the task is long,
Each day is so precious.
We just cannot waste our time
In pursuits capricious.

We must have a goal in sight,
Though it may be distant.
We ought to strive towards it
In manner persistent.

We may fail and slip yet we
Should not be disheartened.
Our efforts to reach the goal
Should never be slackened.

Even though we miss the goal,
We must move on forward.
Let’s not forget that virtue
Is, true, its own reward.
