NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS: an acrostic


No longer I do now make
Empty resolutions,
Which I had been making, though,
Year after year in past.

Empty resolutions don’t
Alter someone’s nature.
Repeatedly are broken,
Resolutions once made.

Even though one may try hard
So deep are evil’s roots;
Only after a few days,
Lies do replace the truth.

Unless we do learn in life
To regard every day
In our life as important,
Only regret we face.

New Year resolutions? No
Solution they provide.
