The End is Near

The end is near, at least the end of 2005. The beginning of a new year indicates new beginnings, a fresh out look on life and a new approach to old problems. I received an interesting quote from the Bible a few days ago.

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
Isaiah 43:18, 19

That sounds like a good way to look at the new year. The year 2006, like every other year, is starting out full of potential and hope. As the year progresses a person has to guard against letting disapointment hide that hope beneath layers of darkness.
