Once Upon A Shadow, Deep Inside A Dream

Days and Nights

Shadows fall away, revealing truth,
But we all look away, afraid of dawn.

And the light is too bright for our eyes,
The heat much too warm for our faces.

Doesn't appear to be any less painful than night,
Only brighter where the dangers are easily seen.

I tell you not to grope the darkness any longer,
Dreams need to be realized in daylight.

Why do we torment each other? Days and nights!

Nothing is right anymore and nothing fits,
I looked at the sky holding my hand over my eyes.

Fear nothing!
         Dawn is here!
