LOVE’S SECRET


My love is a secret. Why
Should I let it be known?
Why should the feelings of heart,
To all the world, be shown?

Like the smoothness of a lake,
A mirror hit by stone,
My heart would be shattered if
A barb on it be thrown.

Like my heart, my love, too, is
Too tender and fragile.
No, I shall not set on it
A world full of much guile.

Why should, My Love, I whisper
It even in ear your?
You will know it in your heart
If it is true and pure.
