Who are you? Soul or spirit?
Or, a fancy of mine?
Do I really see you?
Or, are you just a sign?

Are you a shadow of past?
An inkling of future?
A ghost? Or, of happiness,
Angelic harbinger?

Are you a fleeting image?
Are you a passing thought?
You have some magic on me,
Mysteriously wrought.

You are a whiff of fragrance
In air that has been trapped;
You are divine nectar for
A soul that has been sapped.
