PARADISE: Prize winner


Paradise!
What is it?
Or, is it there at all?
Is it just a dream, a thought?
Or, is it for real?

All the religions do preach,
There is hell and heaven.
But when religions are suspect,
Do I listen to them?

For me the real paradise,
Or the vilest of hell,
Both are on this earth itself,
Where all sort of men dwell.

As you sow, so shall you reap,
Is the standard adage.
I don’t think that is a canard.
I think it is the truth.

Even a small child knows it.
We teach him so daily.
Do good to others and God
Will fulfill all your need.

When all needs of ours are
Fulfilled by Him on earth,
Why crave we for paradise,
Wherever it may be?
