Fill ‘er up!
Good Morning!

Another Friday, another day at work, but for me this day has a certain uniqueness (a little wordiness there, but I don’t care. HA!). Today is my last day before I go on one week’s vacation! Weeee!

I requested it over two months ago, because Dave and I talked about going to his cousin’s wedding in Oregon. As usual plans change, and we decided against it. That’s a long way to travel for a cousin he’s seen three-four times in his life. While I have 165 hours (just shy of 4 weeks) of vacation coming to me, Dave has only two weeks. He wants to save his up for fall when he does all of his hunting.

That’s why I didn’t cancel my vacation. For one, I need the break, and I already have so much vacation time, I’d like to use it up while I have the chance.

I’ll have lots of time to recoup my mind and spirit. While I can’t go far from home, I don’t plan on staying indoors. North Dakota is still too green and lush to not take in its beauty. I have a whole river and two cities to explore. Who knows what neat shops, picture opportunities, and story ideas will pop up whilst I’m – to steal sentimente’s word – on walkabout?

I will still spend time here, more than I normally do, I’m sure. So far I haven’t received any sig requests, and I’m thinking it’s because most people don’t know what they want. They’d rather pick from a selection. Understandable. I’m the same way. Along with finishing up a short story, possibly entering more contests here, I’ll be creating sigs – and cNotes (see "Thinking of You). With no work to think about, I’m sure I’ll come up with something!

Also, I’ve been neglect in spending time with God of late. I’ve been having so much fun and spending so much time creating graphics, my devotion time has become non-existent. While I don’t regret the time I spent getting my virtual hands covered in paint, I feel as though my spirit has emptied.

It’s time for a refill.

Don’t be surprised if you don’t see me much around today, however. I have much to accomplish so our survey crews have enough to do for the next week, among other things.

Happy Friday *Delight*!
