The Ghost of Emily
The ghost of Emily still walks. We've each seen her tail as she rounded a corner, and I swear she was on the sofa last night hiding in the clean underwear I'd just put there to fold.
The new, large-size bag of Science diet is probably what did her in. Oh, it's fine stuff, but the big investment in cat food probably jinxed her. So it sits, unopened. I'll either take it back and trade for dog food or give it to the Humane Society. It's too hot right now to even think about it.
We looked at kittens at the Farmers' Market Saturday, but decided we'd have to wait to tear out the carpet and put hardwood floor in the dining room first. Otherwise, we'd just be training a new cat old tricks.
