No, my love, I don’t rejoice
As we now part our ways,
After the court finally
Has decided our case.

We had our differences,
But we could have resolved
Them if another one had
Also not been involved.

No, my love, I’m not angry
That my love you betrayed.
All of us, from the course of
Righteousness, have swayed.

Marriage is a boat that does
Move forward by two oars.
Maybe both of us caused it
To flounder on the shores.

But, my love, I am happy,
At least on this one score:
That you’ll no more suffer me
And will be free once more.
