On the wilting....
I have my own set of rules and I'm about to break a very important one. I write about the past, people that are gone from my life, situations I have passed beyond...nothing current. Nothing present. Because I write often with poisoned fingertips, this rule has always served me well. You can't hurt people that are no longer in your life, you can't affect events that have already come to pass. Lately however, there is this restlessness. There is that persistant voice in my head, the invisible narrator, urging me to just write something! I've ignored that voice fearing to confront those truths that may emerge, hidden between the lines, or even worse, spelled out in unbiased electronic ink. That impulse is getting harder and harder to ignore, the drive to open and honestly vent about my feelings in the "right now" time is reaching overwhelming proportions. So, I started this blog, as a release valve of sorts. Hopefully this will be a productive clearing house for my troubled thoughts, my nagging doubts, my bitter disappointments...maybe even a positive vibe or two if I'm really lucky.
