Down the Rabbit Hole

Dear Mr. President

Today we have been temporarily shut down while the President comes to town for the commencement speech at the Coast Guard Academy. I took a brief break to watch Air Force 1 land and caught a distance but still recognizable glimpse of Bush as he deboarded the plane. I was shocked by the lack of protestors on the grounds, especially with the political climate what it is now. The motorcades have moved off with the President now and won't be back for several hours. Its quiet again but we are still restricted with our movements, no ramp-side activity at all. No flights in or out. I'm taking advantage of the break to catch up on work, and of course, the occasional blog update.
