Arlo? I met him
on his wedding night, smiling
midnight in the gym

Dustin Hoffman's name
blurred on my Variety,
blind to me by now

Suddenly, Brubeck
on the face of an album cover
yes, Time Further Out

Updike looked handsome
a touch of freckle-faced kid
signing, "Two Writers"

The late Ginsberg stalled,
as it started to rain and we
ran for cover under his umbrella
