Disaster Revisited

Never ever assume anything.

I should be in a hotel in Menorca right now. I should be anticipating a week of sunshine and a break from the humdrum. Not so.

Hubby failed to plan his route properly to Manchester airport and we missed the flight. There isn't another from any airport in England until Wednesday and even then it's fully booked and we'd only be on standby in case of cancellation.

So, it looks like there will be no holiday unless we book something else and lose every penny we spent on the original. I'm not a happy bunny.

I cannot express my feelings right now without changing the rating of my blog. I so need a break, some sunshine and relaxation but it seems fate decrees otherwise.

So instead of being on a lovely Spanish island I'm back at home, fuming and wondering if life will ever throw any pleasant surprises my way. It just seems a continuing nightmare I'll never wake up from.

I'm not perfect by a long way but I do think I deserve better than this. I've asked for a divorce but the control freak who can't find his way to an airport won't hear of it. Stay tuned - I'll keep you informed.
