Off For A Haircut Today

Got my haircut and styled today in Concrete. It's nice to be able to finally trust a new beautician that is close to home. Driving all the way to Mount Vernon for a haircut is a bit outrageous! Well, now that Marianne has opened her shop in Concrete, I can get my hair cut here. She does a good job even if she does charge a few dollars more.

We rode the Vulcan to Newhalem today. That is up near the North Cascade Pass. It was a wonderful sunny and warm day. Fall was showing off her brilliant color along the river and up into mountain country. We were really pleased with the bright yellows, oranges, and the vivid reds. Eye-popping splashing beauty all around us. Had we been thinking ahead we would have brought our cameras. It was a spur of the moment ride, however, and we suited up in a hurry.

We stopped on our way back home for some homemade icecream on a waffle cone. That just topped off our day completely.
