My blog--I pull a card--if it doesn't speak to me...perhaps it is for you? |
The 6 of Swords from Tarot of the Saints depicts a mother, wrapped in a blue cloak, fleeing while protecting her daughter. Six swords hang suspended in the air, all pointing to the left. The author of this Tarot suggests this card represents going with the flow, reliance on Divine Protection. For me, the personal meaning speaks of the feminine force of the Divine, protection yes, and mercy. The woman's blue cloak, the brightest shock of color on this card, speaks of Mother Mary, salve Regina. The flow of this card is going left, the less chosen path....though on the spiral we all return to Center. What if instead of trying to be all that I can be this year, I just rest, with an inner knowing that perhaps now, with all my vulnerabilities, wounds and weaknessess, I am exactly what I am meant to be, doing what I am meant to do, surrounded by those people who need me the most, who I need the most? What if every day I could find enough grace to live from the place that holds my greatest truth? What if I took a pilgrimage that led only to my neighbor with only unanswered questions as my traveling companion? At the edge of life there are no stopping places, and your eye is sharpened by the road. What if my magic words were, "I don't know...." |
